Benefits of Audit Logs

Audit Logs empower a company’s cybersecurity and compliance teams to:

  • Quickly Gain Usage Insights: Download a timeline of all actions within Signeasy to understand their impact on your company.

  • Ensure Data Governance and scale compliance: Monitor historical changes in data management, sharing, team invitations, and user roles.

View and Export Account Activity History

From your account settings, you can view and export account activity history to troubleshoot and monitor user actions. You can also view and export a centralised audit log of login activity and security actions. Learn about the different types of account activity below, and what each export includes.

The different type of account activity logs included are:

  1. Account
  2. Billing
  3. Security
  4. Teamspace
  5. User and Team

The audit logs provide an easy way for account administrators (Owner and Admin) to see changes to account settings, billing information, plan type, and users. Admin's can filter the information by date range and download the selected information to a comma-separated value (CSV) file for further processing.

Note: The audit logs contain data for account changes starting from August 9, 2024. Data before that date is not available in the audit logs.

A maximum of 90 days events are shown on the Audit Logs page. To view any additional events, export the CSV file as per the date range filter selected.

Please also, note that any past billing activities like downgrades, upgrades, cancellations, or changes to billing schedules won’t appear in the logs. However, any billing changes made from October 9, 2024 on will be recorded in the audit log.

Locating the Audit Log

To access the Audit Log, click on your profile picture at the top right corner and then select "Account and Setting" from the menu.

Select "Security", and then open the "Audit log" tab, as we've done here:The Audit Log gives the Owner and Admin a detailed report of all account security-related activity.

Note: Currently, audit log is not recording 'Login' related events. This may change in the future, though.

Filter the Audit Log

As more and more activities occur on your account, you may find the need to filter the information displayed in the Audit Log so that you can find the data that you specifically need. You have three options to filter the Audit Log:

  • By person who performed the action
  • By the action that was performed
  • By date range

To filter by the team member who performed a given action, click into the rectangular box under "Modified by". Here, you can select from dropdown or scroll through the full list to choose the person that you'd like to filter by.

Downloading the Audit Log

Select "Download data (.csv) to export the audit logs information to a comma-separated value (CSV) file. If the date range is changed, the number of rows exported to the CSV is the same as the events shown at the top of the page.

The exported CSV file contains the same information as the displayed audit logs, with some minor differences. The CSV file has two additional columns and one column header with a different name.
