Understand how to select the primary Owner role for your account

The Owner is the most powerful administrative role in Signeasy. You can become an Owner by creating your own Signeasy Organisation or if an Owner chooses to transfer ownership of the organisation to you.

  1. Choose the right Owner

This role holds the highest level of permission in Signeasy — only this person can Transfer Ownership to some other Admin or Delete the Organisation. There can only be one person in this role at a time, so it’s important to make sure that it’s the right one. Here are some recommendations:

  • An executive or senior-level manager

  • Someone from the IT department who provisions licences/seats or handles accounts.

  • A Legal person who is the decision maker for any tool purchase

  1. Transfer Ownership to teammate

  • Because organisations change over time, Signeasy makes it possible to transfer ownership to someone else. 

  • Signeasy Recommends adding a step to your company’s off-boarding process to make sure that a departing employee can transfer ownership before they leave.

  • If the primary owner leaves before transferring ownership, we may be able to help. You need to contact support@signeasy.com
